Mr. Edevbie:

Your write write up is filled with unnecessary bitterness and bias with ethnocentrism without looking at the issues at stake.

The president has the mandate to maintain security within the borders of the country. The attitude of a group of people using the masses for their own aggrandizement and selfish interest while putting the nation on a security risk is very stupid. The current activity in the delta area is not tenable in any democratic dispensation.

While as an Edo man I fully support the grievances of the Niger-Delta people, I believe that care should be taken in terms of not undermining the integrity and security of the country.

If Nigeria disintegrates due to the current impasse in the Niger-delta area, the eventual losers will be the Niger-delta people because a situation of "free-for-all" jungle politics and back stabbing will become the order of the day.

A word is enough for the wise.

Segun
