IN TROPICAL URHOBOLAND
Although Urhoboland is fully in the tropics, there are several incidents of savannah-type grassland in Urhoboland. Called ato in Urhobo language, these patches of grassland are surrounded by tropical environment. The picture below captures one such atypical grassland in Urhoboland.
