On May 6th, 2001, the Publicity Directorate issued a press release announcing that UPUNA will recognize some Urhobo individuals and organizations that have contributed positively toward the quality of life of Urhobo people or have exemplified themselves in some other way. The Executive Council has extended the closing date for nominations to July 25, 2001 as nomination did not start coming in till late in June.

You can nominate a person or group in any of the following categories (for details visit UPUNA’s homepage at WWW.WAADO.ORG
